Corncrake Cranks Up

On Corncrake Lane some hearts were broken while stories of unexpected wins were created…a good evening with little wind and a hint of soft rain to come, greeted a small field for race 5 of the club league.

The strong man Jamie Noone took a break from study to claim second place only seconds from an unexpected winner in Patrick Bradshaw.

The easy tour leader led his charges to third and fourth places with newcomer Aine McCarthy showing great improvements working with Eileen O’Sullivan to deny the charging racing men behind, some vital points behind.

The league table is starting to get congested at the top with Paul Cullinan  and Jamie Noone sharing the spoils so far.

Well done to Roy Bowden following his fine win in the Vets last weekend  in Race 2 of the Dermot McGrath Memorial in Roundwood.

Great to see Andy Kavanagh back racing after his recent accident.
