Now Storm Dennis is giving us something to think about probably on Saturday…whats app will have news in advance…so keep an eye groups as we currently look we will have yellow warnings with high winds forecast on both days…

The club committee met this week and decided on a protocol to be followed in cases where a spin may be cancelled due to weather or other dangers.

In future;

Cancellation of Tours/Regular Rides
We will endeavour to make a decision from the start location, on the day, unless there is a weather warning issued by MET Eireann, which would indicate dangerous conditions for cycling.

Saturday 15th February, The Saturday Training Spin !

Meet: Grove Bar, Willow Grove @ 10.00am. Leaving Promptly at 10am!

Lead by Aidan this week. A group tour of about 70kms at a moderate pace with all riders encouraged to build on their strengths. An interesting route is planned.

Sunday 16th February, The Sunday Road Tour !

Meet: Grove Bar, Willow Grove @ 10.00am. Leaving Promptly at 10am!

Lead by Eileen and Patrick this week .
Two groups with coffee for the two groups back in Fishers for 1pm, group 1 55kms and Group 2 45kms. All welcome and a good place for new members to gain group experience. Great numbers in both groups last week so come along and get moving again.

Wednesday 19th February, The Wednesday Night Training Session !

Meet: Grove Bar, At the Flyover, Kilmacanogue @ 7.30pm. Leaving Promptly at 7.30pm!

Up to Two hours of aerobic and strength training to suit all levels with return circuits on the N11 to the Glenview and back.

All welcome.

Wednesday night training is back with great numbers being led Dave this week, every Wednesday evening at 7.30pm…meeting at the Kilmac Fly Over on the N11.

New member’s are also welcome to participate, come long on the night and we will look after your sign in.For non member’s wishing to take part in our training sessions a charge of €5.00 per session will apply.
Please sign on & Pay Aidan before the session .
All Sorrento members must sign on.

So come along if you wish to build your overall fitness into spring.

On The Night You Will Need
A good working road bike with winter tyres.
A reflective jacket or vest – Mandatory*
A helmet
Light’s front and back – Mandatory*
Winter gloves (extra insulation)
Spare tube’s & pump or air canister
Water Bottle with some supplement & a banana/nutrient bar
A pair of protective glasses would be recommended.
Wrap up well

* No exceptions…safety at all times.

Keep an eye on the weather forecast as this will give you an idea of the clothing you will need on the night.

Ask about the Wednesday night what’s app group to stay informed! They are very experienced cyclist’s with a great working knowledge and a wealth of helpful tips on road cycling, race tactics and strength building.
