No storm names to report this week but again the weather may make its presence felt …whats app will have news in advance…so keep an eye on the group messages…great progress being made on Wednesday nights and all are welcome…it was a little chilly this week at -2c during the two hours but all kept going so well done…same again next week.

Saturday 7th March, The Saturday Training Spin !

Meet: Grove Bar, Willow Grove @ 10.00am. Leaving Promptly at 10am!

Lead by Aidan this week. A group tour of about 70kms at a moderate pace with all riders encouraged to build on their strengths.

Sunday 8th March, The Sunday Road Tour !

Meet: Grove Bar, Willow Grove @ 10.00am. Leaving Promptly at 10am!

Lead by Eileen and Patrick this week .

March is where its at so now the time to get going on your bike…Two groups with coffee for the two groups back in Fishers for 1pm, group 1 60kms and Group 2 45kms. All welcome and a good place for new members to gain group experience. Great numbers in both groups last week so come along and get moving again.

Wednesday 11th March, The Wednesday Night Training Session !

Meet: At the Flyover, Kilmacanogue @ 7.30pm. Leaving Promptly at 7.30pm!

Up to Two hours of aerobic and strength training to suit all levels with return circuits on the N11 to the Glenview and back.

All welcome.

The 7G challenge will begin for the Sunday groups in March with an expectation that we will complete the seven climbs on a date to be set over a six month period but we know the Saturday group will be eyeing up the weather in the coming weeks with a view to cracking on and completing before Summer.

In the next couple of weeks we will bring you a concise breakdown of the challenge and also of the Far Side challenge which hopefully can be taken on in advance of the more onerous climbs of the 7G!

Wednesday night training is back with great numbers being led Dave this week, every Wednesday evening at 7.30pm…meeting at the Kilmac Fly Over on the N11.

New member’s are also welcome to participate, come long on the night and we will look after your sign in.For non member’s wishing to take part in our training sessions a charge of €5.00 per session will apply.
Please sign on & Pay Aidan before the session .
All Sorrento members must sign on.

So come along if you wish to build your overall fitness into spring.

On The Night You Will Need
A good working road bike with winter tyres.
A reflective jacket or vest – Mandatory*
A helmet
Light’s front and back – Mandatory*
Winter gloves (extra insulation)
Spare tube’s & pump or air canister
Water Bottle with some supplement & a banana/nutrient bar
A pair of protective glasses would be recommended.
Wrap up well

* No exceptions…safety at all times.

Keep an eye on the weather forecast as this will give you an idea of the clothing you will need on the night.
