Tours Ahead

Great Numbers over the weekend with over 40 riders on the three tours…the Saturday spin had good numbers and Aidan is hopeful to keep this up….they split into two groups and later joined up nearer home.

A nice touch on Saturday was the visit of the Saturday group to the grave of Denis. A club cap was laid. Well done.

On Sunday 18 turned up and much climbing was done by all including the group 2 riders who thankfully return to the flatlands this week.

The Munday tour went to pastures new and were down in deepest Barndarrig on roads seldom visited by a Sunday group.

This weekend the Sunday group 1 riders will head for the Sally Gap and Laragh….

Saturday 4th  November , The Saturday Tour!
The Saturday group offering two groups, with the second group now aiming to ride at a slightly lower speed than the training group and will aim for 20kms per hour generally. This will offer those not riding every week an alternative to get back out on a Saturday morning and build up to group 1 perhaps over time…growing numbers in the coming months into two sustainable groups.

Meet: Glen of the Downs Carpark, @ 10.00am… Expect an 60 or 80km spin.
Ridden at a moderate pace

Sunday 5th November, The Sunday Easy Tour!
Meet: Grove Bar, Willow Grove @ 10.00am. Lead by Patrick Bradshaw!
Expect a 60k spin . Back by 2pm with an obligatory coffee stop.

Two groups now every Sunday of a both a faster and easier pace with the groups split depending on abilities and meeting up at the end generally.

This week Group 1 will be heading again upwards before the frosty weather and with the Group 2 warriors heading along a slightly flatter route…all of course weather permitting…

The second easier group will ride on a flatter and shorter route…last week 18 turned out so come along no matter your fitness level…we will bring you up over time.
