The last event of our racing calendar took place on Thursday night(26/07/18) with a thrilling ascent of Altidore and probably a more thrilling descent of this local climb sometimes loved but often avoided….
As has been seen in recent years in this event the good legs brought to the race by Dave Peelo prevailed again, with a win on the night of a margin of 1.29 mins ahead of second placed rider Billy Bourke in a very respectable time.
Congratulations also to Aidan Ryan saving one second on the course over Glen Lyons, 3rd and 4th places respectively…marginal gains again in action.
Thank you to all our riders this year and great to see the new faces participating in our events.
To all the marshals who turned out luckily in the best weather any of us can remember for a racing season especially to George and especially to Mim for his great support and interest, week in and week out!
Finally to our timekeepers Gillian and of course to our Fantastic Race Secretary Joanne who does all the work quietly and with a smile, puts all the tables together after the race and almost always gets the handicaps spot on,from all in the club we indebted.
