The racing was keen in last Thursday nights 10 mile TT with a great performance by a number of riders now showing good form in the second half of the racing season. The circuit from the Beehive to Jack Whites was troubled by a stiff headwind on the way down but blessed by an equally good draught on the return.
The championship race was run in conjunction with the handicap race and up for grabs was the 10 Mile crown for both men and ladies as well as a bunch of points in the race league for those who may not be yet ready for the top step…but we try!
The winner of the Men’s championship event was Paul Cullinan with a super ride staying ahead of last years champion Dave Peelo by a mere 21 seconds. The new Ladies champion is Cathy McCormack with a cracking ride of 28.21.
The handicap winner taking 11 points was Jackie MacNamee who put in a great time of 30.10 adjusted to 22.10 handicap time winning by 52 seconds. The new league leader is Glen Lyons with 8 points from 4th place giving him a one point lead over the chasing Dave Peelo. The three attachments show both race results and the league table.
