The weather is on the turn and a need for warmer gear has arrived, five tours this weekend…the list grows longer.

A good time to cycle as the weather has been so nice and no doubt we should make the most of the current opportunities to be out and about.

Saturday 26th September The Saturday Group Ride

Wicklow Meet: Grove Bar, Willow Grove @ 9.00am. Leaving Promptly.

Lead by Aine MacCarthy this week. A training pace of 80kms over varied terrain for fitter riders.

Dublin Meet: Whelehans Wines(Old Silver Tassie), Loughlinstown @ 9.00am. Leaving Promptly.

Lead by Aidan Ryan. A training pace of 80kms over varied Dublin centered terrain for fitter riders.

Also in advance of any club event all members must register their intention to participate on the CI booking system, please do not turn up on the day without pre-booking using the app. It is also recommended that you might remember to carry a buff or mask should you need to go indoors…

Sunday 27th September, THE SUNDAY ROAD TOUR !

Group 1 Meet: The Grove Bar, Willow Grove @ 9.30am. Leaving Promptly at 9.30am! Lead by Patrick this week, a moderate pace of 70kms . Coffee on our return in Fishers.

When using the sign on use 9am as the start time as it only accepts hourly blocks.

Group 2 Meet: The Grove Bar, Willow Grove @ 10.00am. Leaving Promptly at 10am! Lead by POD and covering a route of approximately 50kms with coffee in Fishers.

Dublin Group –Group 3 Meet: The Roundabout, Sallynoggin @ 10.00am. Leaving Promptly at 10am. Lead by Eileen the group will take to the quieter roads within the county.

Note for your diary – Sunday 25th October The Roubaix Ride – one of the best club days every year.

The Mick Byrne 100 will take place at a new date to be announced shortly, the MB 100kms event which normally happens in May annually will definetly top off a great season for our Easy Tour riders with a chance to crest the Sally Gap on the way home. It will cross off another of the 7G rides in September. More next week but time to get a little more miles into the legs in advance.
